I Took My Semi Truck To A Famous Ghost Town At Night
Переглядів 28 тис.14 днів тому
Taking the backroads can bring so much excitement to your long haul trip. Whether you are just pleasure traveling or a trucker delivering a load, the backroads are full of surprises. This route in particular was one that I couldn’t help but get excited about. None of the stops I made were planned. I found them along the way and I think that is the beauty of this video. Being a truck driver it i...
Dodgin' Scales and Taking Backroads | Day in the life of an OTR Trucker
Переглядів 113 тис.2 місяці тому
Another day in the life of an over the road trucker. We had some terrible trailer issues that were only nuisance problems but took so many hours out of my runtime. 13 to be exact. So with the lack of a good complete repair to the trailer and several partial repairs we were left with only a few options. Dodging scales and taking backroads was my choice, not just to avoid the DOT but also to take...

Where have I been? What happened? Am I okay? More specifically is Dakota okay? In short yes we are fine. We are still trucking. This video is meant to really pay respects to not just my struggles, but to all those truck drivers out there also struggling. I know many are just holding it in and acting strong, but I hope I can speak to your heart with this video. We aren’t alone. We isolate oursel...

I'm alive! Although, I still have my black eye from that killer head injury I sustained in my previous vlog. I will link that here: ua-cam.com/video/Ja8NwqzwbzM/v-deo.html if you are curious. This vlog is another trip over the road trucking. I spent my day off looking at RVs and dreaming of another life before getting a load and heading to Colorado to deliver to two PetSmart stores with some re...
Winter Trucking Hazards: How I Ended Up With A Black Eye

The previous night Donner Pass was closed to all truck traffic. So I found a nice place to sleep in one of the PetSmart store docks for the night. (with permission from the store of course). I woke up nice and early grabbed some Starbucks and watched closely the Cal DOT site for updates. At about 5:30AM PT they opened the pass to trucks with the stipulation that you had to follow max chain law....
Discovering The Eerie Ghost Town Of Belleville Nv | An Exciting Trucking Adventure!

I have always wanted to stop and check the ghost town of Belleville, Nevada. It was not only an excellent way for the pup and I to stretch our legs, but we got to check out some unique ruins. I pass by many ghost towns and cool unique places on my travels. I want to make an effort to film my adventures outside the truck going forward. They not only bring me so much joy, but they are a main reas...

I loath using the world female or girl in any of my video titles, but unfortunately for this video I feel like it is important for other girls to find this. I rarely talk about the creepy people I have run into on the road or some of the questionable actions I've witnessed out here. I strive to remain safe and I hope you do the same, what ever gender you identify as. There are things you can't ...

    shelby you are the most powerful ladies in this industry .I know what you going threw. I had this disadvantage for 14 years. Sitting behind a steering wheel and looking at Black road makes you think of bad thoughts ,it did for me.Been in the industry 30+ years i could not leave it. It sucks for personal life . Im seeing doctor's to help. As they say just take one day at time. If I was there with you I would give you a big hug and say everything will be ok. Stay save and strong . Thinking of you angel.

      @@ShelbyHBTM You need to grow up little by little, save up money and buy your own Volvo VND truck with a short hood and an enlarged double cabin for six passengers. Your new truck is worth it because you are already accepted as a more serious and responsible owner and are given good loads. The engine needs a preliminary oil pump so that the engine can run for a million and a half miles (the oil is already under pressure before starting and the turbine, piston group and crankshaft with bearings do not experience dry friction but are in a floating state when there is a layer of liquid oil between the parts. A car for a truck driver is a house on wheels, so you need a double-large cabin than usual and insulate it and put an auxiliary power unit so that you can sleep without turning on the main engine and use electrical appliances and tools. You need a large refrigerator in the cabin so that there is enough food for a week to put in it and the walls in the cabin would be good to finish with high-quality wood, for example, from bog larch, as is done on sailing ships, so that you can install a shower 🚿 and make a drain on the floor, and between the bog larch or oak it is worth laying hard foam plastic two two and a half inches so that there is heat and sound insulation and heat in winter or cool air kept in the cabin in the summer, this is an effect similar to how it works in refrigerators. You need to save up at least a quarter of the cost of the car, if the car costs $ 250,000, somewhere around $ 50,000 and another 15,000 in reserve and you can calmly work and earn $ 8,000 locally or $ 10,000 or $ 12,000 for long distances, but again you need to constantly save money and pay off the debt first of all ahead of schedule so that this debt does not put pressure on the psyche, preferably in the first two years. A tractor in one good hands can easily go 700,000 miles, and with preliminary oil pumping and a reinforced engine oil pump it can go 1,500,000 miles. The oils in the gearbox and axles also need to be changed somewhere every 250,000 - 300,000 miles so that they last a long time.

      @user-rh1eg3vh4k 4 години тому

      @@ShelbyHBTM with a high roof and a very elongated cabin so that in addition to the driver's and passenger seats there was a second row of seats and between these two rows there was a gap of about 3 feet and the second row of seats would be a bed as it is done in passenger train cars. So that the bed could be folded and it would be possible to use a shower and hot water. The walls of the cabin should first be insulated with hard foam plastic and on top of the foam plastic with oak stained boards so that they fit tightly with a ribbed groove in the lock and glued with silicone so that the joints of the boards are sealed, but so that it is repairable and, if necessary, it is possible to remove part of the lining and get to the desired area. In general, the tractor should resemble a sailing ship that moves not only on the sea but on the road, I think so. The suspension is also very important for maintaining the health of the spine, for this it is necessary to install a long-travel air suspension on both the rear and front axles from the factory, as well as good shock absorbers, it is better to choose single super wide wheels 385/65/19.5 or 445/45/19.5, since these wheels allow you to lower the height of the loading platform and drive under low bridges.

    I’m a small owner operator. After going through 5 nightmare drivers I got one good one. He worked for us for 4 years. Then I decided to get my license and save the $65,000 a year. Well, a year into driving I was driving my semi on the 93 outside of Wiccanberg AZ. When another semi hit me head on at 65 mph. Complete loss of truck and trailer. And I almost died. Thank god this didn’t happen with a driver. Think long and hard before hiring a driver again. There’s so much to loose.
